Text from Age of Magic

The text based RPG game "The Age of Magic" starts off in the home village of the main character, where an evil spider occupies the nearby cherry grove, scaring the children away. The protagonist, a mysterious and quiet character, sets out to kill the beast, teaching the player how to manage the turn based battle system, as well as other mechanics such as the inventory system, the alchemical crafting system, and how to use items in battle. The game progresses further, through forests, a dark cave, the catacombs under a cemetery filled with the undead, until finally reaching the tower of the evil mage, Nero Xerxes Caligula.
The game itself draws inspiration from games such as Pokémon Red/Blue and The Witcher (the first one, that is). The story evolves via collecting various keys. The alchemy system is intricate, featuring bombs, potions and coatings, and is used to exploit weaknesses in enemies, as they are weak or resitant to various types of damage (fire, poison, frost, etc).
